I really enjoyed the games we played at Pathfinder meeting this Sunday. How did you guys feel about it? Voyager class let us stay on target. Keep up you daily reading for devotion. We should be doing weeks 3 & 4. Share you thoughts on your scripture of choice.
As an Adventist, when people ask you what do you believe in, what do you tell them?

I get also this question a lot. well, we are a Bible based Christian, we're not a follower of Christians but we're a follower of Christ. We believe everything that is written in the Bible. Remember Jesus other name is "The Word" John 1:1,14. We respect, believe, follow and change nothing in the Bible, even if its not taught by some denominations or most professed christians, if its in the Bible we do it!..

If they ask you what are our doctrines and what do we teach, you might need some help with your church pastor.

I hope this helps. Godbless

That is a good response, I think knowing and being able to reference the 28 fundamental beliefs could also be a great way to explain what Adventist belief. These fundamental beliefs stand as the foundation of the Adventist church. Your response about following all that is in the Bible is actually tied into number one. It talks about the Bible being the word of God. Ps 119:105 says... Your word is like a lamp for my feet and a light for my path. God speaks to us through the Bible. It is His book and is a message to us. When we read it we will hear Him speak. The Bible is given to us for teaching, for showing people what if wrong in their lives, for correcting faults, and teaching us how to live right. We need to read it everyday!
