Will you keep your heart open to the Holy Spirit?

Jesus said, "I tell you the truth, anyone who sneaks over the wall of a sheepfold, rather than going through the gate, must surely be a thief and a robber!" and then "I am the Door. Anyone who goes in through Me will be saved from the punishment of sin. He will go in and out and find food." (John 10:1, 9 NLT, NLV).

It occurs to me that anyone who puts a system, ritual or a person in the place of Jesus is a robber.

Don't be deceived. Do you allow others to study and think for you? The only way to truly know truth from error is through your own study of the Bible.

how He answered our prayers;

cared for our love ones;

put us in our career and took us to different places;

how faithful He is to us despite our failures and shortcomings.

One of the things that annoys me from having ADHD is that many times it is nearly impossible to focus on what I want. It's not a lack of attention, but a constant changing of focus. Believe me, we pastors also have our own comfort zone that sometimes is difficult to leave. We are tempted to focus on those who already know Jesus, thus staying in maintenance mode, rather then being proactive in the sharing of the gospel. We all, "professionals" or not, have a tremendous responsibility.
